Expansion of our Repairs and Maintenance Services in Birmingham, South Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire.
Following the merger between Waterloo Housing and Fortis Living to create the Platform Housing Group, our repairs and maintenance service arm, Platform Property Care, are starting to deliver on ambitious growth plans across the whole of the Group, including Birmingham, South Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire.
Marc Mayall, Assistant Director of Platform Property Care for the West Region, reports that the expansion of the Property Care’s in house maintenance teams will see a significant number of new posts being created across these areas. Void works and responsive repairs, which were previously outsourced in Birmingham and South Staffordshire, will be bought back in house in the New Year with opportunities for any affected operatives to become part of our Property Care business through TUPE arrangements. Grounds Maintenance Services in South Birmingham have already been bought back in house since October and are now successfully operating as part of Platform Property Care.
A number of vacancies (across all our operating areas) and jobs fairs will be advertised on our website, and through our social media channels (Twitter and LinkedIn) over the next few weeks. Recruitment for all our current Property Care vacancies will be via our retained partner Niya People.
Dennis Evans, Platform Property Care Director said “Our vision is to have a highly skilled workforce delivering local, customer centred services that enhance the customer experience, but also delivers value for money and wider social value in terms of local employment opportunities including apprenticeships and work experience placements for local people. This is a very exciting time for Platform Property Care.”
