Waterloo Tenants Wishing To Transfer When considering a transfer please remember that a lengthy waiting time can apply dependent on the type of property and area you are wishing to move to. A transfer is a move to another home owned by Waterloo. If you wish to apply for a transfer you need to contact your housing officer explaining the reasons why you want to move. All transfer applications are assessed on housing need and will be registered in the relevant band. For further information on how your housing need is assessed please ask your housing officer or speak to a lettings administrator. Transfer Offer Before being offered a transfer: You will be visited by a housing officer to check the information in your application, inspect your property and discuss your transfer request. No offer will be made if your rent account is in arrears. No offer will be made unless your home is in a good state of repair and decoration. No offer will be made if you are in breach of your tenancy conditions and a Notice of Seeking Possession has been served. What happens if I have an urgent need to move? If you have a real problem that makes it difficult for you to remain living in your present home you may be given priority to move. Every situation is different and all situations are given attention. If you are experiencing problems that you are not in control of, do contact your housing officer for advice.
