Independent living roadshow stops off at Skegness

22 September 2016

Waterloo Housing Group’s independent living roadshow is coming to Skegness next month, to showcase the quality homes available to rent across Lincolnshire for people aged 55-plus.

Prospective residents can drop-in at Barratt Court Extra Care Scheme, Lyndhurst Avenue, Skegness PE25 2PQ on Thursday 20th October between 11am and 3pm to find out more information and how to apply for an apartment at one of our independent living or extra care schemes in the county.

Visitors will be able to take a tour of our flagship extra care scheme and meet organisations and groups who provide a range of services and activities to help residents at our schemes lead a more active and independent lifestyle. They can also pick up useful information on staying fit and healthy, and anyone feeling energetic can take part in a fun exercise class.

Our staff will be on-hand to talk to people about maximising their income and managing their money, and demonstrate how customers can manage their Waterloo account online.

Family members, friends and professionals working with anyone aged 55 and over are also welcome to come along to the event. Free refreshments and snacks will be available and anyone who attends will be in with a chance of winning an iPad.

Marion Duffy, Neighbourhoods and Operations Director for Waterloo Housing Group, said: “Our independent living and extra care schemes offer residents the best of both worlds. They can maintain an independent lifestyle in the comfort of their own home, while enjoying the peace of mind that comes from living in a safe, secure and shared environment.

“Anyone who comes to our roadshow will be amazed by the accommodation, beautiful shared spaces and activities on offer at our schemes, which provide residents with first-class living at an affordable rent.”

Waterloo has one and two-bedroom and studio apartments available to rent in Lincolnshire from just £285 to £395 a month.

All schemes have secure entry systems and residents have a 24-hour personal alarm for emergencies. Scheme Officers are available on weekdays to help support residents, and the extra care schemes also have on-site care services to assist with any care needs.

Anyone interested in our schemes must be aged 55-plus and eligible to go on Homes Direct’s housing register. They will also need to have an assessment to make sure that their needs can be met by their chosen scheme.
