If you want to leave your property, you must give us written notice to end your tenancy.
Your tenancy agreement will say how much notice you need to give. It will be either four weeks ending on a Monday or one calendar month.
You can give us notice by completing the "Ending your tenancy" form below.
If you want to end a tenancy on behalf of a tenant, due to death or incapacity, please go to Giving notice on behalf of a tenant.
When we receive your notice we will telephone you to confirm all the details. We will also send you written confirmation of your notice and your tenancy end date by email or post. You must reply to this email or letter within seven days of receiving it or we may have to extend your notice period.
We will also arrange a convenient time to come and inspect the condition of your property.
Before you leave you must clear the property, including loft spaces and gardens, of your belongings and return all the keys to us. You can find out more about this in Leaving your home. If you are unable to do this, please let us know so we can agree a later date to end your tenancy.
Rent is due until your tenancy ends, so you will be charged additional rent if your notice period is extended or you do not return the keys by the agreed date.
