Tenant Inspector

As a Tenant Inspector you will be expected to inspect empty properties before they are let to new tenants. You will provide feedback on the condition of the property to help ensure we let good quality homes. You are not expected to carry out inspection alone, you will always be accompanied by a member of Waterloo staff.

  • Access to your own a car or transport is preferable

Training and support

You will work with a regional Community Engagement Officer who will ensure that you have access to staff, documentation and any other material required to carry out your role.

Level of commitment

You may be asked to inspect on average one property a month. This will vary depending exactly which properties are being let and where. You will also be expected to travel to the properties you are inspecting, however you will not be asked to travel any further than your preferred distance or to any areas that you are not comfortable going to.
