THE HEDGEROWS

Photo shows The HedgerowsThe Hedgerows development is a key worker initiative designed to combine the expanding employment opportunities at Telford with private affordable rented accommodation for local employees.

The Hedgerows is supported by the Telford Development Agency, the Commission for New Towns and the major employers in Telford, including Denso, Makita, Ricoh, NEC, Tatung, Epson and IK Precision. Whilst priority will be given to assist the employees from Telford based companies, applications are also sought from residents of Telford and the surrounding districts.

The Hedgerows is conveniently located within easy reach of both Hortonwood and Priorslee estates.

The Hedgerows consists of 117 homes comprising of 65 two bedroom houses, 12 two bedroom flats, 10 three bedroom houses, and 30 one bedroom flats.

Waterloo is responsible for ensuring that all services to the properties are maintained to a high standard. The front gardens of each house and the communal areas of the flats are maintained by Waterloo. The additional services to the flats include ground maintenance, cleaning of communal areas, communal lighting, and day-to-day-repairs. The site is visited regularly by Waterloo staff to check on all services and to liaise with the tenants on issues such as day-to-day repairs, site services, and rent payments.

Long term planned maintenance includes a cyclical programme which will include external redecoration and remedial repairs.

Waterloo currently owns and manages over 5000 properties in the Midlands area. Our dedicated staff strive to ensure that a high quality estate management service is provided at all times to our leaseholders and tenants. Waterloo is a not for profit organisation registered with the Housing Corporation. Our performance is closely monitored to ensure that we consult with our tenants and meet targets on repairs, service standards and arrears.
