PRIVATE MARKET RENT
Waterloo now has three private rent schemes, The Hedgerows
at Telford and newly built Hingley Court in Cradley Heath
and Upper Dean Street in Birmingham city centre.
The properties are let on a six month assured short hold agreement with the intention of renewing
satisfactory tenancies on a continuation basis thereafter. This type of tenancy allows
tenants to move on more easily and also affords tenants who wish to stay, the
comfort of knowing their tenancy can be easily renewed.
To secure a property an initial deposit will be required (this is currently £400 at the
Hedgerows, £500 at Hingley Court & £600 at Upper Dean St). This will be held for the duration of the tenancy and
any interest earned will be retained by Waterloo Housing Association. The deposit
(excluding interest) will be refunded in full following vacation of the property, except
where any remedial costs are identified. Deposits are secured through the tenancy deposit
scheme.
