RACIAL HARASSMENT
Policy Waterloo will not tolerate the harassment of residents or staff. Residents will be able to report incidents easily and action will be taken to support victims of harassment. Procedures All cases of racial harassment will be treated as a priority and action will be taken by the relevant Senior Housing Officer within the next working day to contact the person experiencing the harassment. Arrangements will be made to interview the victim. At the interview full details will be recorded. Other agencies may be contacted, including the police and specialist support agencies, with the complainant's consent. If the alleged offender is identified as a Waterloo resident, and the victim gives consent, that person will also be interviewed by a Senior Housing Officer accompanied by another officer. Appropriate action will be taken. This could include an application to the Court to terminate the perpetrator's tenancy. If you are a Waterloo resident, and are experiencing racial harassment, please email us at harassment@waterloo.org.uk, or contact the Association by phone on 0121 355 4501 The following web sites also offer help to victims of racist harassment. You can also report racist incidents to them if you wish.
